VETS AND SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS: QUESTIONS WITH ANSWERS

VETERANS - DO YOU NEED MORE FINANCIAL HELP THAN VA OFFERS?

Dateline Huntsville, AL - Redstone Arsenal - Veterans, do you need more financial support than is being offered by the Veterans Administration? Social Security disability may be the answer. If you are a disabled veteran, you may qualify for Social Security disability in addition to your VA disability benefits.  In some cases, the Social Security disability benefit can be up to $2,600 per month.  Dependent children below the age of 19 who are still in school may also qualify for additional benefits. While serving in the US military you paid into the Social Security program.  If you meet Social Security's rules for disability, you may be able to obtain additional benefits.
